Recruiter: do you have experience with [hot new buzzword framework]? Me: No. because it’s still 0.1.X and I prefer to keep things stable and not jump on a bandwagon before it’s actually fleshed out and useful. Recruiter: ok well thanks for the interest! .... Biggest example of a garbage framework that people jumped on before it was ready: React-Native.

This doesn't actually happen in real life. Everyone uses React, Vue, or Angular and that's pretty much it.

Came out *in alpha* in my experience. We had a "Senior Software architect" who chose Kafka as the fundamental core of our entire companies software stack. Despite it not lending itself well by nature to exactly-once processing for data where "eventually consistent" isn't good enough, the best part was that it was still barely alpha stage. It barely reached v1.0 over a year later. And this was the basis for our critical infrastructure. How the hell do people like this get hired and stay hired?!?

In JS terms, being born last night means almost ready for procreation.

Vanilla JavaScript is the only framework I need.

My current company it’s like this, those idiots make us change frameworks every couple month or so. JS-> TS, Redux -> Mobx,express->hapi->express again.

I had this issue with my project manager during an internship where after creating neatly the entire dashboard application in react despite not being provided proper specifications and being asked to regularly make changes on the go, I was asked to change the entire codebase to a different framework so casually like it's some minutes task, and just because the manager thought it would make the project better. I had to leave the internship Midway and deleted the entire source code of the application off the company's system, in that moment of anger I didn't care for consequences and in fortunate I didn't get any except for a rabid manager calling me repeatedly and abusing me till I just blocked his number and moved on
